Well, so much for the amazing momentum I built up during blog week . . .

20130517-081112.jpg Wazzup! Feebles the Familiar writing again, Luna kinda sucks at this regular blogging thing. So I decided to pop online and show you what she’s been up to!

She made a scarf for her grandmother’s birthday:

Pattern: Drop Stitch Scarf
Yarn: Red Heart Shimmer in Red
Needle: US #7, 4.5mm

She also finished a shawl for her mum’s birthday:

Pattern: Wirbel
Yarn: Malabrigo Sock in Arco Iris
Needle: US #5, 3.75mm

This was Luna’s largest project in terms of yardage, and her first time knitting with Malabrigo (can we say happy addict?). Her mum got her the yarn during a birthday trip to the yarn store last fall, and Luna spent many happy months kitting up this shawl – after she figured out how to decode the chart (she’s not used to such abbreviated charts but she liked its simplicity after she figured it out). It was also her first adventure in blocking a piece, which stressed her out for a day or two until she just did it and figured out it wasn’t that hard – I had faith in my fairy, she can figure out anything she puts her mind to!

I’m going to try and persuade Luna to give this whole blogging thing a better shot, but she can sometimes be all over the place with her hobbies and activities. She likes to frequently say that she can barely make plans beyond the next 5 minutes, and to just chill out and go with the flow. But if I can’t get her to blog, I know her password, so I’ll keep the internets updated on her projects if I have to!

Familiar Extraordinaire signing off!
