Manifesto of an Autonomous Individual

I am an autonomous individual.

I deserve to be treated with respect, but I have no right nor grounds to enforce said respect, because everyone around me is also autonomous individuals.

I have the right to like and dislike things. I do not have the right to censor other autonomous individuals based on these likes and dislikes.

As a human, I experience emotions in patterns and waves that may or may not be comprehensible to me. These emotions may be inspired by things I like and dislike in the world around me. I do not have the right to forcibly demand the world alter itself based on my emotions.

I have the right to express my emotions. I have the right to gauge how to conduct myself in a relationship based on this self expression. I do not have the right to demand specific outcomes from other autonomous individuals based on this self expression.

I have the right to make different choices and change my personal reality. I have the right to change my attitude for the better or the worse. I do not have the right to expect anyone to be responsible for changes in my reality. We are autonomous individuals co-creating reality together. All I get to control are the responses and choices that affect my personal reality, and I cannot extend this version of my reality to anyone else, no matter how hard I try.

What others think of me is not my business. If they view me negatively, that is a result of their perception filters, it is not because I am a bad person. If they view me positively, that is a result of their perception filters, it is NOT because I am good person. Good and bad are autonomously determined for each individual reality. I can only strive to live my life in accordance to my values, and allow each individual around me the same freedom.
